King Edward Tech is a challenging site. We have provided wireless to
there before, so it is possible. Will need permission from building
owners etc to run cables and mount uplinks.
The offer is as per our rate card: $450 one-off fee for an indoor
hotspot that will cover the area which you are working in. This also
gets you an advertising slot for 12 months in the content area of the
portal page for a 320x200 logo which you can use to promote your
activities.
The current provisioning for Wicked Networks is: 10Mbps shared
national capacity and 2Mbps shared international capacity. Per-user,
the traffic management is currently 250K with burst to 2Mbps. This
seems to balance out fairly well across all users (over 2700
registered so far, several hundred users per day). Firewall permits:
HTTP, HTTPS, Uni proxy, Skype, SSH, SIP, IAX, MSN, Yahoo MEssenger and
various VPNs. If you need other ports open for transit, please let me
know and I will add them. I cannot open ports for forwarding inbound
to servers unfortunately.
Once you get past the portal/registration pages that carry the
advertising, you get Internet restricted only by the firewall. Web
traffic is not proxied after authentication.
Regards,
Stu
