  - Mitre 10 Andy Bay Rd - expensive, small quantities but open at the weekend
  - Bunnings Otaki St - expensive, small quantities but open at the weekend
- Steel Rod/Threaded Rod
  - Steel and Tube - cnr Willis & Tewsley Sts
- Bearings
  - Cheap 608s can be had from any skate shop
Electronic parts
- Jaycar Lees St/Princess St - opposite the Oval (take a St Clair bus down George St from the Uni) - a great range - open Sundays
- Dick Smith (Moray Place, Cumberland St) - their range seems to be slipping away - Dick himself seems to not have aged a day in 30 years though

Many parts suppliers have NZ web sites now - they quote in NZ $$, you pay GST but may avoid having to deal with customs
