I think that short term we'll need to find people who are willing contribute
more than their share in the way of money until we reach a size that's self
sustaining - we've already had some wonderful offers
expertise and sharing it is of course what it's all about ....
time is also going to be important - if we want to keep the workshop open to
high school kids people will have to volunteer spend to time there - we will
need some adult supervision - someone has to be there to say "if you're going to
use the drill press you need to wear eye protection" as well as unlock the door
I work US pacific time hours so I can be there an afternoon or two a week as
well as at least one evening - but my job periodically takes me out of town for
weeks on end with little notice - as we get larger we can probably field enough
adults to keep the place open 3-4 nights a week and maybe Saturday without any
one person being stuck being there all the time - finding other groups to share
the space will also mean it will be open more
