Title: Whats cool keeping me in school
When: 2:30pm Friday 10th December
Where: Room 1.06 Owheo Building, Union Street West (opposite the
Polytechnic)

I will be giving a presentation on 3d printing and scanning, primarily
at the hobbyist end of the cost spectrum, what got me interested, what
I'm doing in my PhD - focussed at the core Graphics group with a couple
of slides of equations, but the main portion will be aimed at the
general layperson and will be mostly the things I've become aware of in
the last 6 months that others in the field are doing.

If you want additional material, bring along a keydrive and I'll put on
a few videos. The main one being the 480p version of the 50 minute talk
"The Future of 3d Printing" available on YouTube at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lJ8vId4HF8 (170MB).

The talk will one of the weekly Computer Science Graphics Group meetings
and will be quite informal, probably 40-50 minutes long with afternoon
tea provided afterwards. Feel free to pass this on to anyone you think
may be interested
